Special constructions / Transformer crossing

In transformer stations, the transformation of electrical energy between two or more voltage levels takes place. This requires transformers that can weigh up to 500 tons. In order to move these units, some stations have their own rail connection.

Where the various tracks within a station cross, our transformer track crossings are used. The crossings are often mounted on a continuous steel base plate that is cast in concrete. To ensure a long service life, they are usually fully galvanized to protect them from the effects of weather. We manufacture these crossings in different designs depending on our customers' wishes and the specific requirements of the existing infrastructure.
