Hollow bearers for locking systems replace a standard sleeper in the tongue mechanism of a point and serve to integrate the point lock as well as the check and setting rods. These are thus protected against the effects of the weather and damage.

Since the use of this component eliminates the need to position the lock and the rods in the sleeper compartment, the area of the tongue device can be tamped mechanically. The bearers can be equipped with a heating system that maintains the function of the point lock even in snow and ice. The size and shape of the bearer also increase the positional stability of the point.

We offer these components ready for installation with pre-assembled covers, slide chair plates and rail fastenings. The design can be a welded construction made of a U-profile or mechanically processed from a raw casting.
