Special constructions / Rail scales

Static rail scales are used to weigh rail vehicles and are often found near loading tracks. In the case of railway weighbridges with a track interruption, the running rails in the area of the railway scales are on the wagon bridge and are separated from the rails of the connecting tracks.

The critical points in this type of weighbridge are the rail transition areas between the track and the weighbridge rails. These areas are not interconnected and are subject to dynamic loading when a vehicle passes over them.
