Control and safety technology / Side devices
Setting devices can be used in addition to switch locking systems (point and center locking). The setting device is used to hold the movable tongue rail of a point in the area of the narrowest passage groove at a defined distance from the stock rail (outboard tongue). On the opposite side, the tongue rail is pressed against the stock rail by the setting device (inboard tongue). The setting device is mechanically connected to the point locks by a connecting rod.
